Especializado en el estudio de las lenguas yutoaztecas, en lo general, y en las lenguas nahuas, en lo particular. Autor del libro <em>Lenguas originarias y pueblos ind\u00edgenas de M\u00e9xico. Familias y lenguas aisladas<\/em>.
